This week at Preston House, residents welcomed Chinese New Year – the Year of the Fire Horse with a beautifully decorated dining room and a wonderful sensory experience. Traditional instrumental music set the scene while residents enjoyed Chinese-style snacks including prawn crackers and fortune cookies, alongside themed word searches and colouring activities. Each resident was also gifted an orange — a symbol of prosperity and good fortune for the year ahead.
Meanwhile at Craigie House, the spirit of Mardi Gras came alive as residents designed and decorated their own vibrant masks ????. The creativity on display was fantastic, with plenty of laughter and conversation flowing as everyone embraced the energy of the celebration.
